Frequently Asked Questions
What is the typical payload capacity of a Stallion gantry system? +
Stallion engineers gantry systems for payloads from approximately 25 kg at the lower end up to several hundred kilograms for heavy-engineering applications. The specific payload, gantry length and positional accuracy are engineered for the customer's specific workpiece — there is no off-the-shelf gantry configuration.
How long does a typical gantry automation project take from order to commissioning? +
Lead times depend on the scope and complexity of the system. A single-machine gantry loader can typically be commissioned within 12 to 16 weeks of order. A multi-machine gantry cell or gantry-fed production line is a more substantial engineering project, typically requiring 20 to 36 weeks depending on the number of stations and the integration complexity.
Can a Stallion gantry be retrofitted to existing CNC machines? +
Yes. Many of Stallion's gantry projects involve retrofitting gantry loading onto existing customer CNC machines — particularly where the customer has invested in good machines but is constrained by manual loading. Stallion's application engineering team assesses the existing machine, integration constraints and cycle requirements before proposing the retrofit configuration.
Does Stallion provide ongoing support for gantry systems? +
Yes — the same AMC, predictive maintenance and lifetime service support that applies to Stallion's CNC range extends to the company's gantry automation work. Genuine spares are held in inventory, and Stallion's service network covers gantry systems pan-India.
