Vertical Machining Centre (VMC)
Stallion VM Series — Precision · Productivity · Rigidity
A Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) is a workhorse milling platform built around a vertically oriented spindle, used to mill, drill, bore, ream and tap prismatic components in a single clamping. The Stallion VM Series delivers this on a heavy cast iron base with P4-grade spindle bearings, C3-grade ball screws and roller linear guideways — engineered for sustained accuracy under continuous heavy cutting. Nine models span X-axis travels from 600 mm to 1500 mm with table loads up to 1,500 kg.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Vertical Machining Centre (VMC)? +
A VMC is a CNC milling machine with a vertically oriented spindle that performs milling, drilling, boring, reaming and tapping operations on prismatic components — typically in a single clamping. The vertical orientation makes setup and operator access st
Which industries use VMC machines? +
VMC machines are used across automotive components, aerospace parts, die and mould making, heavy engineering, defence, and general precision manufacturing. The platform's versatility makes it suitable for both prototyping and production-volume work.
What is the difference between BT-40 and BT-50 spindle tapers? +
BT-40 and BT-50 refer to the spindle nose taper standard. BT-40 is suited to medium-duty machining with faster tool change and higher spindle speeds, while BT-50 is heavier-duty — used for high-torque cutting on larger workpieces, with higher tool clampin
Does Stallion provide installation, training and after-sales service? +
Yes. Every Stallion machine includes on-site installation by factory-trained engineers, operator and maintenance training, scheduled preventive maintenance, and rapid breakdown response — backed by an Indian service network with spare parts inventory main
Why is the Stallion VM Series superior to competitor VMCs? +
The VM Series combines a heavy cast iron base with P4-grade precision spindle bearings, C3-grade ground ball screws and roller linear guideways — delivering structural rigidity and motion stability under continuous heavy cutting. Critical components inclu
